Dec 4 to Dec 6 – Vishakha

Retrograde Mercury in Jyeshta Nakshatra

Jyeshta Nakshatra is ruled by Mercury the deity of Jyeshta is Lord Indra – The King of Gods. Jyeshta means “eldest” or “seniormost” and represents everyone who is in the position of power and authority.

Indra – The foremost among Gods or the King of Gods is a post occupied by different souls based on severe penance and past life merits. Similarly, Jyeshta Nakshatra is all about power and position based on seniority and past life merits.

When Mercury transits Jyeshta in retrograde motion, it gives us an opportunity to reconcile issues with authority figures and seniors or it can indicate issues related to power and ego with people around us.

It is the time to be extra careful with our communication. Think thrice before you act. In general Mercury retrograde is a time of misunderstandings and misconceptions. So it is wise to give people the benefit of doubt before jumping into conclusions.  If we find that our ego is challenged, it is wise to keep calm and let this phase end rather than retaliating, arguing and fighting it.

As human beings, we are naturally inclined to care for people who are weak and whom we consider underprivileged or subordinate to us, but when we consider someone as equal or higher than us, in most cases we feel threatened by them and the compassion and love falls behind. This theme may playout until Nov 22nd and it is important to be aware and see the positive side of things and take every event as an opportunity to learn and grow.

Jyeshta is primarily a Vata based Nakshatra which could possibly bring issues related to movement of any sorts. So please plan wisely and be more disciplined with your travel.

Retrograde Mercury in Anuradha Nakshatra

In Anuradha Nakshatra, Mercury will be blessed with the wisdom and optimism of Jupiter and the power and protection of a strong Sun. Mercury will conjoin the Sun on 26th November and Jupiter on 27th November.

Anuradha Nakshatra’s symbol is a Lotus flower which symbolizes the ability to strive and grow in unsuitable conditions. The energy of Anuradha Nakshatra will inspire us to look beyond obstacles and strive for success through persistence, cordiality, and teamwork.

Mercury has already been direct through Anuradha Nakshatra, and it will retrograde back to Anuradha now and finally, after retrograde, it will cross Anuradha Nakshatra again in direct motion. This gives us plenty of chances and opportunity to regroup as a team and work towards a universal goal. It is important to analyze, think and carefully consider the pros and cons before we jump into conclusions during this time.
