Vamana Jayanti is celebrated on the 12th waxing Lunar day of the Bhadrapada month to honor Lord Vishnu’s incarnation as Lord Vamana.
Lord Vamana was born to Sage Kashyap and GoddessAditi. This avatar of Lord Vishnu is connected to the planet Jupiter.
In this avatar Lord Vishnu fights for the devas who had lost their kingdom to demon king Mahabali who is also a great devotee of Lord Vishnu.
