We will begin the English New Year with an exact conjunction of Sun and Saturn.

Sun ☀️ will combust Saturn by exact degrees on Jan 1st and 2nd of 2019. Mercury has also entered Sagittarius and is currently transiting the karmic Gandanta zone.

Sun represents the leaders, kings, people in authority positions, life, light, ego, etc. Saturn represents servants, people who provide service, darkness, delays, etc.

This conjunction since it is happening in the fire sign (Sagittarius) it makes the sun stronger as Sun is comfortable and feels at home in fire signs.

Sun and Saturn are natural enemies in the planet kingdom. Saturn (Shani) is the son of Sun (Surya) through his wife Chaayaa. Since Sun was partial towards his original wife Shani hates his father.

This combination causes a push/pull effect. Imagine someone pushing the door and from the other side, someone is pulling the door. Nothing comes of it.

This conjunction is happening in the sign of Sagittarius ruled by Jupiter and in Purva Ashadha Nakshatra ruled by venus.

At the time of conjunction, Venus and Jupiter the 2 gurus of the zodiac, will be in the most intense/spiritual sign of Scorpio.

It is very important to be in the right company on this day as you could be easily influenced. You may find an innate need to express your true opinions even though you know it is not going to help a situation, but my advice is to bite the bullet and let it go. Curb the desire to do things without careful evaluation of the consequences. This is definitely not the time to show off or feel proud of your accomplishments. Stay humble and be true to who you really are and think about all the grace and help you have received in your life.

The best way to deal with this transit is to be extra nice and grateful to people who serve you in any capacity. Even in adverse situations avoid any kind of disagreement or fight with people who provide service to you.

Avoid dominating discussions and the need to put your points across.

This transit could be intense if you have any prominent planets placed in Sagittarius especially in Purva Ashadha Nakshatra. You can order your Personalized 2019 Horoscope Report from Cosmic Insights.

  1. Can we worship sun god during solar eclipse? First solar eclipse in 2019 happens to be on 6th January ie a Sunday and also happens to be my birthday. Plus I already have sun and Saturn conjunction in my 10th house. This has gotten me a bit worried. I keep referring to blogs/articles on planetary transition and understand that we need not be scared of such transitions and they are here to just teach us lessons and free us from our past lives karma. Thanks for educating us through your blogs!!
