How to calculate the Jata Graha

  1. Mark the signs that are in Kendra (1, 4, 7, 10) from the Moon
  2. Mark the signs that are in trines (1, 5, 9) from the Arudha Lagna.
  3. Now find the sign that is common between steps 1 and 2.

The meaning and purpose of our life can be understood from this sign. If there is a planet in this sign it becomes the Jata Graha if not the lord of the sign becomes the Jata Graha. Study this Graha along with the Atma Karaka. This graha becomes the tiny Jyotirlinga inside the Atma Karaka

Lord Rama – The Sun

Arudha Lagna is Mesha (Aries) so the trines are
Aries, Leo, Sagittarius
Moon is in Karka rashi (cancer) so the quadrants are
Cancer, Libra, Capricorn, Aries

The common sign is Aries and Lord Rama’s Sun is exalted in the sign of Aries. He is an incarnation of Dharma and HE established the Jyotirlinga in Rameshwaram which is situated in Mesha Rashi (Aries).

Lord Krishna – The Moon

Arudha Lagna is Kanya (Virgo) so the trines are
Virgo, Capricorn, Taurus
Moon is in Vrishabha rashi (Taurus) so the quadrants are
Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius

The common sign is Taurus and Lord Krishna’s Moon is exalted in the sign of Taurus. HE established the Somnath Jyotirlinga in Vrishabha Rashi (Taurus).

The Jata Rashi will bless us with all that we need to achieve our purpose in life. In case there are blockages you should worship the Jyotirlinga connected to this sign. If the Jata Graha is in kendra (quadrants – 1, 4, 7, 10) from the Atmakaraka then it is highly auspicious as both of them will work together to help you achieve the purpose of your life. These 2 planets should not be natural enemies.
