10th May 2017 is Vaishaka Buddha Purnima and it happens also to be a Wednesday. The day Lord is Mercury. Astrologically, Planet Mercury is associated by Lord Vishnu. Gautam Buddha is considered as an incarnation of Vishnu as per many vedic literature.
The Nakshatra operating at Sunrise in India is Swati Nakshatra and will be operating till 14:35 hrs which is a Chara Nakshatra (Movable). Vayu is the presiding deity of Swati Nakshatra and also the tattva (element) is Fire.
Full Moon day produces the most powerful vibrations on Earth as both the Luminaries are aligned and it is good time for performing Mantra Sadhana, Prayers, Homa (Fire rituals) and Pujas.
One can simply chant the Buddha Mantra all day long tomorrow:
बुद्धं शरणं गच्छामि।
Buddham saranam gacchami
I go to the Buddha for refuge
धर्मं शरणं गच्छामि।
Dharmam saranam gacchami
I go to the Dharma for refuge
संघं शरणं गच्छामि।
Sangham saranam gacchami
I go to the Sangha for refuge.

1. When the sun rises on the morning of May 10th the Moon transits Swati Nakshatra. Worship Saraswathi, the goddess of learning, wisdom, music and knowledge with the following Mantras. Saraswati Mantra enhances intelligence, creativity and knowledge.
ॐ ऐं महासरस्वत्यै नमः |
Om Aing Mahasaraswatyai Namah |
ॐ ऐं ह्रीं श्रीं वाग्देव्यै सरस्वत्यै नमः ।
Om Aing Hreeng Shreeng Vaagdevyai Saraswatyai Namah |
2. Feed the Pigeons Green Gram after your morning prayers
3. Light a small earthen lamp (Fire element of Swati) at a Durga Temple (Overlord of Swati and the deity representing Rahu + Venus energy). Note that the Moon moves into Vishaka Nakshatra later during the day.
4. Chant the Gayatri Mantra at midnight of Full Moon after having a bath and wearing fresh clothes 12 Times before going to bed. It is advisable not to speak with anyone after chanting and to immediately go to bed.
