After the total lunar eclipse we are all set to witness the partial solar eclipse on Feb 15th 2018.

This eclipse happens in the Nakshatra of Dhanishta in the sign of Aquarius.

This partial Solar Eclipse will begin at 18:55:51 UTC and ends at 22:47:08 UTC, with maximum eclipse at 20:51:29 UTC.

The partial solar eclipse 2018 will be visible in parts of South America, including many locations in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay. It will also be visible from parts of Antartica.

Astrologically Speaking…

Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Neptune will be conjunct in the sign of Aquarius! The sign of Aquarius will be aspected by Jupiter in Libra, Saturn in Sagittarius and Mars in Scorpio.

Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus and Neptune will aspect the sign of Leo.

So what does it mean ?

It just means that you have to simply understand the planets are having a party and may mess up with your emotions and state of mind. They may cast a cloud of illusion over your mind and intellect. Just let things be, do not get impatient, do not be aggressive, do not give in. We can use this opportunity to go inward and tune in with our inner universe. Meditation, Mindfulness, Contemplation, Mantra chanting, Charity, Service etc can come to our rescue.

Drum roll for Dhanishta Please…

The spot light is on Dhanishta nakshatra as this is the point where the eclipse is happening.

Dhanishta is the 23rd of the 27 nakshatras or lunar mansions.

The name roughly translates as “Famous”, “Wealthy”, “Most heard of.”

Ruled by The Warrior Mars – the planet of energy, impulse and action. The part of Dhanishta that is the talk of the eclipse is in the sign of Aquarius ruled by Saturn.

Thus Dhanishta can harmonize the polar opposite energies of Mars and Saturn. The active go getter mars is well supported by the practical, realistic wisdom of Saturn.

The symbol of Dhanishta is Drums – related to Lord Shiva’s Damru and a flute – related to Lord Krishna’s musical instrument. If you observe both of these instruments are hollow and it signifies the need to be receptive to the frequency of the universal higher mind without falling trap to our personal limited ego.

Dhanishta is ruled by the collective Gods called Ashta Vasus.

They are eight elemental gods (called “Aṣṭa-vasu”, ‘Eight Vasus’) representing aspects of nature, representing cosmic natural phenomenon. The name Vasu means ‘Dweller’ or ‘Dwelling’.

Dhanishta’s power is to give abundance and fame
