The Pancabrahma Upanishad describes five forms of realities (Brahman) or Shiva that arose from highest reality – Sadyojāta, Aghora, Vāmadeva, Tatpuruṣā and Īśāna.

Aghora represents the fire element (Agni tattva) – Sun, Mars and Ketu

Vāmadeva represents the water element (Jala Tattva) – Moon and Venus

Sadyojāta represents the earth element (Prithvi Tattva) – Mercury

Īśāna represents the space element (Akash Tattva) – Jupiter

Tatpuruṣā represents the air element (Vāyu Tattva) – Saturn and Rahu

Worshipping the Panchabrahma everyday is extremely powerful and is one of the greatest remedies for all the grahas (planets).

How to worship the Panchabrahma?

When the Moon transits over the Sun, Mars or Ketu in your birth chart you can worship Aghora with the mantra

aghorebhyo’tha ghorebhyo aghoraghoretarebhyaḥ

sarvataḥ śarvaḥ sarvebhyo namaste rudra rūpebhyaḥ

When the Moon transits over Moon or Venus in your birth chart you can worship Vāmadeva with the mantra

vāmadevāya namo jyeṣṭhāya namaḥ śreṣṭhāya

namo rudrāya namaḥ kālāya namaḥ

kalavikaraṇāya namo balāya namo

balavikaraṇāya namo balapramathanāya namaḥ

sarvabhūtadamanāya namo manonmanāya namaḥ

When the Moon transits over Mercury in your birth chart you can worship Sadyojāta with the mantra

sadyojātaṁ prapadyāmi sadyojātāya vai namo namaḥ

bhave bhave nāti bhave bhavasva māṁ bhavodbhavāya namaḥ

When the Moon transits over Jupiter in your birth chart you can worship Īśāna with the mantra

īśāna sarvavidyānāmīśvaraḥ sarvabhūtānāṁ brahmādipati brahmaṇo’dhipatir

brahmā śivo me astu sa eva sadāśiva om

When the Moon transits over Saturn or Rahu in your birth chart you can worship Tatpuruṣā with the mantra

tatpuruṣāya vidmahe mahādevāya dhīmahi

tanno rudraḥ pracodayāt
